昨日はお疲れ様でした！
子どもたちの楽しそうな笑顔を見ることができ、心から開催してよかったと感じています。

 

折り紙ワークショップの様子
 折り紙ワークショップでは、学年ごとに分かれて自己紹介をしてもらいました。
事前に準備した自己紹介がきちんと伝わった時の子どもたちの嬉しそうな顔がとても印象的でした。

小学校高学年以上の子どもたちには、英検の面接に向けたミニレッスンも受講してもらいました。普段私の英語に慣れている子どもたちにとっては少し難易度が高かったかもしれませんが、実際に英検を受ける子どもたちには良い練習になったことと思います。

会食について
 会食では、できるだけ安価でバスを出してくれる場所を探しました。日本語も英語も通じない中華料理店でしたが、子どもたちが元気いっぱいに注文する姿を見て、「他者に伝えようとする気持ち」の大切さを改めて認識させられました。

Thank you for all your hard work yesterday! This was a first for Hannah House, and seeing the children's happy smiles truly made me feel that it was worth doing.
 

About the Origami Workshop
During the origami workshop, the children were divided by grade level and introduced themselves. It was wonderful to see their genuine joy when their pre-prepared self-introductions were understood.

Elementary school students in the upper grades and above also received a mini-lesson in preparation for the Eiken interview. While it might have felt a bit challenging for children already accustomed to my English, I believe it was excellent practice for those who will actually be taking the Eiken test.

Some of the works created during the origami workshop are now displayed on the first floor of the classroom.

About the Dinner Gathering
For the dinner, we searched for a place that offered a bus service at the lowest possible cost. It was a Chinese restaurant where neither Japanese nor English was understood, but seeing the children enthusiastically placing their orders reminded me once again of the importance of the desire to communicate with others.
I would be delighted if this workshop has been of even a little help to everyone's English learning journey.
